Booking a Japan tourist visa interview with the consulate is done by phone. On the scheduled day, you must appear in person at the consulate and submit the required documents.

To apply, the following steps must be completed:

After submitting your application, you may need to wait 7-10 calendar days. Keep in mind that your trip must fall within the visa's 90-day validity period.

The Japan tourist visa is issued based on the number of days requested.

• Two visa application forms
• A photo, size 35x45
• Passport (valid for at least 6 more months)
• Financial documentation
• Copy of ID card
• Itinerary in Japan
• Accommodation documents
• Flight reservation documents

• Documents must be valid at the time of application and submitted no later than three months from their date of issue.
• Any documents submitted at the time of application will not be returned to the applicant, except for the passport.
• The visa application review period is approximately one week, though this may vary depending on the specifics of the application.
• The applicant may be asked to submit additional documents. If necessary, documents may be forwarded to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tokyo for further review.
• Be honest and accurate in your application and avoid providing false information.
• The visa's validity period is three months. This validity cannot be extended.
• Submit your visa application so that your travel dates fall within the visa's validity period. Visas cannot be requested in advance of a specific future date.
• The Japanese consulate does not charge a visa fee.

It's difficult to predict the likelihood of a specific applicant being granted a visa. However, it's clear that this depends on your social and economic ties in your home country. The more you can show the consul that you are successful in your home country, have a stable income, and future growth potential, the more likely you are to be granted a visa.
