Starting May 12, 2025, important changes have been made for Georgian residents wishing to obtain a visa to travel to Ireland. The new procedure will simplify and speed up the application process.

Previously, Georgian citizens had to submit their Irish visa application at the Irish Embassy in Sofia (Bulgaria).
Now, all applications are processed by the Irish Embassy in Ankara (Turkey).

As a result of this change, you no longer need to send your documents abroad by mail.

Georgian citizens now have the option to submit their application in Tbilisi at the newly opened VFS Global Visa Application Centre (VAC).

To apply, the following steps must be completed:

Processing of the Ireland visa application begins once the documents are submitted and takes 2 to 5 weeks.

This depends on the length of stay you request. In most cases, the consulate issues visas with the following validity: 1 month, 3 months, and 1 year.
