How to obtain a Border Crossing document in Canada

The THR is an official document that shows a traveler's entry and exit dates for Canada. The CBSA retains this data for 15 years.

This document includes the following information:

• The traveler's first and last name, date of birth, nationality, and gender.
• The exact dates of entry and exit.
• The location of the port of entry (for example, an airport or a land border crossing).
• The numbers of the documents used while traveling (e.g., passport number).

To obtain CBSA records, you need to submit a privacy request. The easiest way to make the request is through the ATIP online service.
