ETA-IL, or Electronic Travel Authorization – Israel, is an electronic authorization system developed by the Israeli government that allows citizens of foreign countries, including Georgia, to cross Israel's border for a short-term visit without a visa. ETA-IL requires filling out an electronic application, which confirms the traveler's right to enter Israel. How to Apply for ETA-IL?
To request and receive the electronic authorization, you need to go through certain steps:
Step 1: Confirming Eligibility
Holders of passports from countries that have visa-free travel with Israel are eligible to apply for ETA-IL. However, it's important that the traveler is visiting Israel for a short-term visit. Step 2: Submitting the Application on the ETA-IL Online Platform
When submitting the application, it's important to pay attention to which link you're using to fill it out. ETA-IL is filled out on the official website of the Israeli government, whose domain is gov.il
Before you start filling out the application, make sure you have the following documents and information:
A valid passport (the passport you'll also use to cross Israel's border)
Personal information
Your flight time to Israel and the length of your stay (flight tickets are not required)
A valid email you have access to
Once you open the official ETA-IL website, click the "Start Application" button and follow the corresponding instructions. Also, keep in mind that you have 30 minutes to complete the application.
What Information Do You Need to Provide in the Application?
First, in the application, you indicate who you're filling out the application for — yourself or another person — after which you go through email verification and begin entering your travel information, where you indicate the purpose of your trip to Israel and the length of your entry and stay in the country. After that, you begin sharing information about your travel document, such as: nationality, gender, date of birth, passport number, and the passport's validity and issue dates. The next step is entering personal information, where you must enter your marital status, your parents' full names, your mobile number, your country and city of residence, and whether you're employed. You'll also enter information about your travel history - which countries you've visited, when, and for what purpose.
At the final stage, you review the information you've entered once more, make sure the data is entered correctly, and confirm it.

ETA-IL Approval
If your application is approved, you'll receive a confirmation like the following by email.
Your approval will automatically be reflected in the system, and this information will be recorded at the border; however, to avoid any uncertainty, we recommend printing the confirmation page and carrying it with you when you travel.
ETA-IL Refusal
Reasons for a negative response to the application may include a past deportation from the country, security concerns, and also, the purpose of travel and length of stay indicated in the application may correspond more to obtaining a visa, in which case you'll be refused the electronic authorization. If the application is refused, you'll receive an email stating that your application has been denied, and this decision will not be changed.
Without ETA-IL approval, you won't be able to cross Israel's border. In such a situation, you can apply for a tourist visa at the Israeli embassy in your country of residence, or be invited to Israel by an individual there.
